It is no secret to anyone who reads this 'zine that I am a huge Baby Ray fan. From their two records on Thirsty Ear to their "unofficial" release, Demonstration, Baby Ray have evolved from just being a lovable quirky rock band to a powerful influence in pop music. The more people know about this band, the better off the whole world of pop music will be. Until their new full length, Low Rises, comes out this spring, the rest of us will have to resign ourselves to be satiated with this single and your new favorite song, "The Idiots are Out"! This song is Baby Ray at its best: angular, clever, hard hitting and driving in a way that is uniquely Baby Ray. The B-side, "Rocket-O," is a laid-back melodic acoustic number with an irresistibly singable chorus and some sweet, ear-friendly harmonies. I can never get enough Baby Ray! I'm sure the full length will be more than worth the wait.
